American Income Life’s Rob Falvo Gives Timeless Advice For AIL Leaders
This week’s leadership message is from American Income Life Senior VP of Operations, Rob Falvo. Rob first gave this information at a SGA meeting in back in1993. The message is still just as pertinent to American Income Life leaders today as it was back then.
Making The Most Of Your Opportunity
Everything starts with a vision!
- How many agents?
- How many managers?
- What does your hierarchy look like?
- How much WEEKLY ALP will you be producing a year from now?
Are YOU sharing your vision?
“The empires of the future are the empires of the mind.” – Winston Churchill
An essential quality of leadership is an intrinsic desire to win.
A leader without a sense of competitiveness is weak and easily overcome by the slightest challenge.See every opportunity, big or small, as a personal challenge.
Have the attitude that if an agency is going to have your name on it, and you’re the one who is ultimately responsible for its success or failure…It will succeed!
ATTITUDE OF ABUNDENCE THROUGH DETACHMENT
Learn to love giving more than receiving. (“As you sow, so shall you reap”)
Believe in Win-Win Thinking.
When you give more to your people don’t look at what you might be giving up…look at what you will gain. What you gain are people who realize they have a real opportunity (paychecks and advancement). You will also gain managers who are excited to work from 7am to 11pm, not because you have asked them to, but because they want to.
Giving and sharing does one very important thing. It shows that you genuinely care about the lives and futures of the people who look to you for leadership.
- Live with Enthusiasm!!!
Be enthusiastic and share it with everyone you come in contact with.
