It’s Technology Tuesday again at American Income Life! This week we’re looking into the helpful new RescueTime program. Prepare yourself, this could very positively change the way you do things around your office!
How Does it Work?
RescueTime organizes your daily doings and picks up on the areas where you could use your time more wisely, or where you lose valuable time every day. (So yes, the program will notice when you’re distracted by Facebook or find yourself re-reading articles on BuzzFeed to avoid the task at hand!)
We’re not trying to call you out on where you spend your time, we all get distracted! But sometimes doing things that aren’t a high priority can become a problem. You may not even realize where your biggest time wasters are occurring day to day.
Here’s how it works. The program securely runs through the background of your devices, tracks the amount of time you spend on various websites, and gives you a report about your activity. You’re able to set alerts to notify you once you’ve been on a site for a certain length of time and see graphs of where your time was allotted in meetings, on emails, phone calls, etc*.
