The Transamerica Pyramid – American Income Life Convention
While you’re in San Francisco for #AILConvention2014 make sure you get to the city’s Financial District to see the world-famous Transamerica Pyramid.
The Transamerica Pyramid
The recognizable architecture can be seen from afar from many areas within the city limits of San Francisco. The building represents a symbol of power that welcomes people and businesses into the city. The Transamerica Pyramid sits on a full city block and is surrounded by hotels, restaurants, nightlife, and shopping, as well as the neighborhoods of Jackson Square, Chinatown, and North Beach*.
The Transamerica Pyramid stands 853-feet high and is the tallest building in San Francisco. The building has 48 floors and is constructed of concrete, steel, and glass encompassing 500,000 total square feet*.
For visitors interested in learning more and seeing live shots from the top of the structure, there is a visitor center located on the plaza level off Clay Street. Here you’ll have access to all the facts and information you could ever need to know about the Transamerica Pyramid.
