American Income Life Aims to Aid Homeless Veterans
As we gear up to have a rip-roaring good time at #AILConvention2013, we want to strike a more serious note to ask you something.
Did you know there are 1,200 to 2,800 homeless veterans in the New Orleans area?
Our latest Closer to the Heart partner – Volunteers for America – strives to aid these homeless veterans through its Veterans Transitional Housing Program. This program offers veterans the support and time they need to redirect their lives.
Fortunately, we at American Income Life are also in a position to give back to these men and women who have given so much for us. And Volunteers of America has advised us on how we can do that.
We’ve purchased backpacks and personal goods for our Convention attendees to assemble and personalize with notes of hope and encouragement for homeless veterans. We’ll send these items, along with monetary donations, with the Volunteers of American Greater New Orleans crew to distribute.
We urge you to stop by and give us a hand with this project when you arrive at the registration table for Convention. A few minutes go a long way and will impact the lives of countless deserving veterans.
And hey, if you’re not attending Convention or you’d like to donate ahead of time:
